Hello, I'm Ryan.
This is my mythology.
ORIGIN STORY
I was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1989, but my early childhood was spent in the rural St. Andrew hills. That home is where I would drawing in the dirt, befriend animals, and develop my lasting love for art and nature.
I first moved to Canada when I was 4, and aside from my trips back to Jamaica for holidays, my life was in Toronto. Both of my homes shaped me. In Canada, I became rebellious and I was promptly sent back to Jamaica for high school. I found discipline, academics, perspective, and art in Jamaica.
I also considered making time for art and literature important and my first foray into publishing came when I was editor in chief of my high school year book. Despite my love for it, I decided to pursue more "stable" subjects when I came back to Canada for university.
When I entered the corporate world it would never be a place of stability for me, So I started an education. I've dedicated a lot of energy to my self-guided discovery, and eventually became comfortable calling myself an artist again.
MY WORK

My work is rooted in storytelling. I work with all kinds of media but there's always a poetic pursuit in everything I do. My work has been featured on stages and in exhibitions internationally, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
